Meet with CT Youth and friends from Silver Lake for an evening of music, dance, youth testimony and worship in a multi-racial, multi-cultural setting.

COMPASSION CAMP 2013

JULY 22-26

All students who are currently in grades 6-9 are invited to join us for a week of fun, friends, and service learning. This is a day program (9:00 am to 3:00 PM) for youth who want to help neighbors in need. We will use the Hill Church as a home base and take a different field trip each day to put faith in action.

Download your registration form from the Compassion Camp Facebook page or pick one up at church. Those who register by April 15 will receive an EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT!

We will be gathering a staff of volunteers, including CITs and counselors, so contact Debby at 860-377-2675 if you can help out.  APPLICATIONS for youth staff are due by April 15.

For all youth in grades 7-12.   Learn how you can Power Down, Green Up, and Shout Out as part of Mission 4/1 Earth!

6:00 PM at the Woodstock Academy Auditorium
How is our food produced and how do those practices impact our health, our land, and our future?  Join us for this thought provoking documentary that offers creative sustainable solutions for farming.

 

Saturday, April 20      Giv 2 Green Action

9:30 TO 2:00 at Keney Park in Hartford      
Spring clean up day in Hartford. Lend a hand to preserve open spaces for children and families. Our work includes raking, planting, and pruning of invasive pant species. BYO lunch, water bottle, and work gloves. Help the UCC reach 1 M hours of earth care during Mission 4/1 Earth.  Check our facebook page for details about carpooling.
